The Cuppa Tea Club : Valentine's Edition : 14 Feb
Having met the Arkle Manager on her first visit Kitty ( Age 90 ) entered the building this time saying "Where's my toy boy then !"
She didn't have to wait long before he came by for a chat.
The rest of the Cuppa Tea Clubbers were happy with a nice cuppa & a chat !
We laid on heart-shaped everything & did everything we could to make it special.
When you are in your 90's & live alone it's impossible to get out until someone comes to take you out & creating that sense of a special occasion all means the world to them - as we are beginning to learn @ The Cuppa Tea Club.
Thanks so much to our volunteers Carol & Naomi for making the heart-shaped sandiches & prepping the rest of the food, to Arkle Manor for hosting us and to Age Concern for providing the specialist transport needed to get everyone from a to b. This feedback from one of our visitors ...
"Thoroughly enjoyed the Tea Club. You were all so nice & friendly to us old girls & man. Lovely food. Thank you all for a lovely time and your hard work" Margaret
