Christmas Bag Scheme : Saturday 8 December 

Jane & Maggie on the afternoon shift 

Thanks to the generosity of countless M&S shoppers we are able to gather together goods to fill 155 Christmas Bags fulfilling all the agency requests that has been made.
The bags went out to local people & families who will all struggle to afford Christmas this year. They are personally known to Raven Housing Trust Temporary Accomodation units, Salvation Army, Welcare, Reigate & Banstead Women's Aid, East Surrey Domestic Abuse Services, Wayside Hostel for homeless teenagers & Furnistore. 

And of course a thousand thank yous to our fantastic volunteers without who this project would not be happening.
So in order of arrival BIG thank you to Diane ( there by 8am !), Jackie, Amelia, Geri, Emma, Mary, Jane, Maggie & Mo.
In what we call "the sort zone" were a host of people who came along to sort all the donated items into bags.
Jaime, Emma, Christine, Mike, Sonia, Ligia, Amanda & Diane & a particularly humungeous thank you to Mike who was coodorinating & setting up the sort zone all afternoon. 

Also to our bauble wrappers & bag decorators without whom those bags just would not be the same Georgina, Mike, Emma, Anuska, Jackie, Myra, Andrea, Lyn, Clare, Veronica & Amelia 

We have calculated that the Christmas Bag Scheme has reached over 500 local people in need this year !!
