New Project Plans for Isolated Elderly
Lots more tea, chat & special occasions like this..
Really exciting news to report !
Just heard from the Arkle Manor that they are happy to play host to a new regular fixture for local elderly who have just lost their Redhill centre.
The ladies were telling us at last week's Pampering Afternoon what a wrench it has been for them losing their regular weekly meeting place in Redhill. It has left many with a massive hole in their week.  One lady said "Sometimes lately I just find my eyes filling up with tears. Once the housework is done sometimes you just sit there & feel really low"
We are so pleased to be able to lay on something to act as part replacement.  Last week our volunteer beautician Di pictured below texted after the pampering to say "They are such a lovely bunch of ladies". And they are. We are going to enjoying spending time with them & finding out what we can do in the regular sessions will help them to feel valued, special & give them a much needed treat.
