Care Kits Public Ask

Fantastic Response from the Reigate Public
Loveworks.org volunteers Jackie, Diane and Linda manned the doors outside Boots on Reigate High Street on Friday to ask the public to buy toiletries for the homeless men who attend the Salvation Army Drop-in facility in Redhill.
The men have recently been provided with a new shower but being homeless are really short on whats necessary to shower with !!

Thanks to the generosity of the Reigate shoppers, Reigate Round Table who have given sponsorship and Boots the Chemist for granting us permission to be there all 30 men will now have their own wash-kits with sponge, toothpaste and brush, shower gel and shaving foam and a big fluffy towel.

We had all the toiletries we needed within two and half hours of beginning the "ask" !  £480 worth in total ! Apparently many who contributed were telling Boots staff what a great idea they thought it was !
